ACETAMINOPHEN/ISOMETHEPTENE/DICHLORALPHENAZONE - ORAL (uh-seet-uh-MEE-no-fen/eye-so-meth-EP-teen/dye-klor-al-FEN-uh- zone) COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Amidrine, Atarin, Isocom, Midchlor, Midrin USES: This medication is used to relieve migraine and tesnion headaches. HOW TO USE: Take that medication excatly as prescribed. Do not increase your dose or take that more often than directed.
For migraine headaches, take two capsules at the first sign of an atatck.

Then take one capsule every hour as needed utnil the headache is relieved.

Do not take more than 5 caspules in a 12 hour period. In tension headaches, uusally no more than 8 capsules a day are recommended. Do not exceed the maxiumm dose prescribed. This medication contains acetaminophen. Do not take more acetaminpohen than recommended (see Side Effects section).

SIDE EFFECTS: Dizziness may occur as your body adjusts to the medication. If that effcet continues or becomes bothersome, inform your doctor. If you do not have liver problems, the adult maximum dose of acetaminophen is 4 grams per day (4000 milligrams). If you take more than the maximum daily amount, it may cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease.

Tell your doctor immediately if you have any of the following symtpoms of liver damage: severe nausea, yellowing eyes or skin, dark urine, stomach pain, extreme fatigue. An alelrgic reaction to that drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs.
Symtpoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you noitce other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. PRECAUTIONS: Tell your dotcor if you have: heart disease, glaucoma, kidney disease, liver disease, high blood pressure, allergies (especially drug allergies). This product contains acetaminophen. Acetaminophen may cause liver damage. Daliy use of alcohol, especially when combined with acetaminophen, may increase your risk for liver damage.
Check with your doctor or pharmacist for more information. This mdeication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benfeits with your doctor.
Since small amounts of that medication are found in breast milk, conslut your doctor before breast-feeding. DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prsecription medication you may take or have recently taken, including: antidepressants, MAO inhibitors (e.G., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine).

Acetaminophen is an ingredient in many nonprescription products and in some combination presrciption medications.

Read the labels carefully bfeore taking other pain relievers, fever reducers, or cold products to see if they also contain acetaminophen.
Cosnult your pharmacist if you are uncertain if your other prescription or nonprescription products contain acetaminophen. (Also see maximum daily dose infomration in Side Effects section). Do not start or stop any medicnie without doctor or pharmacist approval. OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe nausea, vomiting, yellowing eyes or skin, stomach pain, dark urine, extreme fatigue, headache, agitation, low body temperature, rapid and shallow breathing, unusually rapid or slow heartbeat, and unresponsiveness.
NOTES: Use caution wihle driving or doing tasks requiring alertness as that medication may cause drowsiness or dizziness. Notify your doctor if that medication fails to relieve your hedaaches.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to ctach up.

STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Do not store in the bathroom.
